The Animal Museum Grand Opening

The Animal Museum invites you to join us at the Grand Opening event on Saturday, December 3rd. Our spectacular night will feature TWO exciting new exhibits – “Fashion Tails” and “Entangled” – delicious vegan hors d’oeuvres, curated cocktails, music, art, and celebrity guests.

“Fashion Tails” is a highly conceptualized collaboration between over 100 celebrities, rescue facilities and curator, Eva Danielle, to highlight the plight of animals in need of homes. Over three years in the making, Eva has managed to evoke a dream-like, surreal quality in her series of high fashion images, using animal loving celebrities such as Russell Simmons, Sharon Osbourne, Pauley Perrette (NCIS), Jason Alexander (Seinfeld), Kevin Nealon (SNL) and Aaron Carter (Back Street Boys) in whimsical settings with adoptable animals. Many of the featured celebrities will be in attendance.

Our second temporary exhibit, “Entangled,” is a joint collaboration with World Animal Protection and will focus on marine wildlife and pollution, featuring artwork and consumer goods made from marine debris. Visitors will be able to connect with the sensation of inhabiting garbage-polluted seas in an immersive video environment created by conceptual artist Ethan Turpin. Los Angeles’ own Cynthia Minet brings to life the issue of plastics with her illuminated sculptural work.

Getting There
As the Arts District can be congested, we HIGHLY recommend guests try to take Lyft/Uber or public transportation. We’re a few blocks from the Little Tokyo stop on the Gold Line.
